Holiday Closure: December 24, 2025 – January 2, 2026

Santee City Hall, the Operations Yard, and Fleet Services will be closed for the holidays. Please plan your visit or City business accordingly.

Service Requests:
Submissions received during the closure will be reviewed and addressed once offices reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Emergencies:
Call 9-1-1 for emergencies.
For non-emergency public safety matters, call (858) 868-3200.
For urgent maintenance issues, contact the Maintenance Hotline at (619) 258-4100 ext. 304.

Inspections:
If you anticipate needing inspections prior to the closure, please submit your requests no later than Thursday, December 18, 2025. New application submissions through the online portal will be unavailable during the closure period. 

Planning & Building:
Please note that the City’s online permitting portal will close on December 23, 2025. Any new project applications submitted after this date will be processed under the 2025 California Building Standards Code, which becomes effective January 1, 2026. Applicants wishing to have their projects reviewed under the 2022 Building Code must submit a complete application no later than December 23, 2025.

Parks & Recreation:
All City of Santee municipal parks will be open for public use. 
Facility rentals, picnic shelter reservations & field use permits are not available December 24, 25, 31 and January 1.
Reservations or requests for facility rentals, picnic shelter reservations & field use permits during the Holiday Closure will need to be submitted by Monday, December 15.
Registrations for recreation programs, activities and classes is available online only.
