New Businesses Opening Their Doors in Santee

The City of Santee continues to grow and diversify, with several exciting businesses recently opening and more preparing to welcome customers soon. From restaurants and retail to auto services and hotels, these additions will provide more dining, shopping, and service options for residents and visitors.
Sedano Chevrolet
Sedano Chevrolet held its soft opening on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 10335 Mission Gorge Road. Owner Manny Sedano of Sedano Auto Group relocated his Mission Bay Chevrolet dealership to a six-acre site in Santee, making this the city’s first new car dealership. The new 34,000-square-foot sales and service facility employs approximately 100 people. A grand opening celebration with the Santee Chamber of Commerce is planned for October.
Pizzabilities
Opening in early October at the former Nicolosi’s location, Pizzabilities will be the second location for Josh and Amy Baker, following their first in Alpine. Inspired by their daughter Grace, who was born with Down Syndrome, the Bakers created Pizzabilities to provide meaningful employment opportunities for the special needs community in San Diego. The concept also has a special Santee connection — Nicolosi’s owner, Ron Burner, who coached Josh Baker in youth baseball, has joined as a co-investor and mentor.
Gen Thai Street Food
Also located in the Mission Creek/Food 4 Less shopping center, Gen Thai Street Food will soon take over the former Khao San Thai restaurant space, bringing a fresh new dining option to the neighborhood.
Visiting Angels
Located in the Vons/Santee Village shopping center, Visiting Angels is a national chain that provides senior home care services as well as free referral assistance for local resources.
Fruhmann Motor Gallery
Fruhmann Motor Gallery, now open at 10350 Mission Gorge Road, specializes in auto repairs, restorations, and performance upgrades. Previously based in Miramar, the business relocated to Santee in August.
All Access Services Equipment Rental and Sales
Located at 8871 Magnolia Avenue, All Access Services has partially opened its new Santee site and is renting lift and boom equipment. A full relocation from their Spring Valley location will be completed in future months.
Stellar Nails & Spa
Stellar Nails & Spa is now open in Plaza de Cuyamaca (at Grocery Outlet’s center) in the former Contempo Nails space, offering nail and spa services.
Village Pet & Feed
Opening in mid-September at 11541 Woodside Avenue (next to Deano’s Pub), Village Pet & Feed will offer pet food, small animal feed, grooming supplies, and a convenient self-serve pet wash station.
The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill
Coming soon to Mission Gorge Square next to Trader Joe’s, The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill will offer fast-casual Mediterranean fare. Staff anticipates an opening in 1–2 months.
The Playground Museum
New indoor playground facility, located at the former Walgreens location on the corner of Mission Gorge Rd and Magnolia Ave.
85°C Bakery Café
Work will soon start on 85°C Bakery Café, which will open at 70 Town Center Parkway next to HOTWORX and Dairy Queen, bringing its popular pastries and coffee drinks to Santee.
Master Bathroom
Opening soon at 10502 Mission Gorge Road, Master Bathroom will provide remodeling services in its new space next to Star Market.
WoodSpring Suites
A four-story, 122-suite extended stay hotel by Choice Hotels is nearing completion and is anticipated to open by year’s end. WoodSpring Suites will serve East County business travelers, visiting families, and sports tourism from the nearby Sportsplex.
With so many new openings, Santee residents will soon have even more reasons to dine, shop, and explore due East.
