City of Santee 2025-29 Consolidated Plan
Published Tuesday, September 17, 2024Each year, the City of Santee receives between approximately $300,000 to $350,000 of Community Development Block Grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which can be used for projects and services that directly benefit residents with low and moderate incomes. As a condition of receiving this funding, the City must prepare and submit a document called a “Consolidated Plan” to HUD every five years. The Consolidated Plan includes an assessment of community needs, an analysis of the local market, and a strategic plan for using the HUD funding over the next five years.
The City is in the process of preparing the 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan. A critical part of the process is seeking the community’s input on how to most effectively use the HUD funding to assist residents with low and moderate incomes over the next five years. Make sure your voice is heard! Here are two ways you can participate now:
- Plan to attend the community meeting on Thursday, September 26 at 6 pm at City Hall (Building 8, Room 8P)
- Complete the Community Needs Survey by Sunday, October 27.
