Celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America With Us

In 2026, the City of Santee will join communities across the nation in commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States, a once-in-a-generation milestone honoring our nation’s history, service, resilience, and shared values.

Santee’s America250 celebration will be anchored by an expanded, special edition of Santee Salutes-America250, on July 4th bringing residents, families, veterans, and local businesses together for an elevated community experience. This patriotic celebration will feature enhanced programming, meaningful tributes, and memorable moments designed to inspire pride and connection across generations, along with year-around activities and displays.

Each month, families can explore Santee by finding and scanning a hidden QR code at locations and events across the City. Each check-in earns an entry into that month’s opportunity drawing.

Hometown Heroes Banner Program

The City of Santee’s Hometown Heroes Banner Program recognizes and honors Santee residents (current or past) and/or their family members, Santee business owners/ operators, adopted Marines from the City of Santee's adopted Marine units, who have served, are serving, or have given their lives in service in the United States Armed Forces.
