The City of Santee uses both traditional and nontraditional communication tools to reach residents, business owners, developers, and others. The City provides transparent information to educate and engage the public through media outlets, community outreach, video production, visual/graphic designs, print publications, and live streaming of public meetings.
In-Person
City Meetings
The City of Santee has regular meetings of the Santee City Council (every second and fourth Wednesday of the month), Community Oriented Policing Committee (every second Monday of the month), Santee Park and Recreation Committee (first Wednesday of each month) and other Board and Commission meetings can be attended in-person or streamed live on SanteeTV. Public comments can be made both in person and telephonically for Santee City Council Meetings.
Outreach Booths
The City of Santee hosts outreach booths at City Special Events and select community events such as the Santee Street Fair.

SanteeTV is the City of Santee's award-winning, Public, Educational & Governmental Access channel, also known as PEG. This channel will keep you connected to your local government and keep you up-to-date on all things Santee. Tune in to SanteeTV 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on AT&T channel 99 or Cox channel 117 or via the website.

The City of Santee's Park and Recreation division sends the seasonal recreation brochure and information about recreation classes and programs through ActiveNet, the same platform used to register for Santee's recreation programs.

The City of Santee places a two-page print ad containing information relevant to Santee residents in the Santee Chamber of Commerce's seasonal magazine, The Santee Magazine. The City will also occasionally put print outs in local news publications where appropriate.
News Releases
The City of Santee regularly sends news releases and media advisories to local media outlets. News release topics can range from City of Santee special events to important updates about topics relevant to Santee residents.
