City of Santee residents may drop off unwanted items such as appliances, mattresses, furniture and tree limbs.

This is for household waste only.

Be prepared to show proof of residency with a driver's license, gas/electric/water or Waste Management bill.

Each household is allowed to dispose of up to four (4) items.

Shredding is limited to five (5) bankers boxes per household.

No Hazardous Materials - This includes paints, oil, batteries and household or industrial chemicals, etc.

No Construction Materials - This includes concrete, brick, drywall and roofing material.

No Commercial Vehicles - This includes enclosed U-Haul/rental moving trucks or Business Vehicles.

Youth Sports Gear Donation Drive

While you're dropping off your large items and paper for shredding, you can also donate new or gently-used youth sports items! This youth sports gear donation drive will collect items that will be given to Partnered Youth Sports Organizations (PYSO) presidents for distribution to youth in need.

The items that youth ages 5 to 16 can use for the following sports will be collected on September 14:

• Soccer
• Football
• Flag football
• Baseball
• Softball
• Lacrosse

The City will NOT collect unhygenic goods (such as mouthguards) and will not accept helmets due to safety concerns. Gear bags are welcome.
