The Sandlot (1993) is a coming-of-age comedy about Scott Smalls, a shy new kid in a 1962 California suburb who learns to play baseball and makes friends with a group of local boys. The film follows their summer adventures, focusing on friendship, nostalgia, and retrieving an autographed Babe Ruth baseball from a terrifying dog.
